This piece was created with the intention to express my love to the ancient Mexican Cultures, to take care and preserve the site. This one is special because represents the Culture from my state of Jalisco that is called Tradicion Teuchitlan. The site is called Guachimontones that means round pyramids

On behalf of Knox Gifted Academy students, administration and Art Masterpiece Board I would like to thank you for the beautiful mural which you created for our school. We are proudly displaying it in our library. Breathtaking! Thank you Oliverio Balcells!

These give birth to date palms, which is a reference to date production and Tempe’s government date palm farm. These also give birth to cotton which was grown in the area in the 1910s…
It’s been a great week painting the mural on 1930 E. Apache Blvd. in Tempe and I very grateful of being selected for this project. I really enjoy when the people walk by and say they like what I’m doing. Thanks City of Tempe!
